Screenpipe MCP Guide
Screenpipe gives AI assistants searchable screen-text and audio history for recall, meeting notes and work summaries through MCP and a local API. Requires a running Screenpipe recorder, normally on localhost:3030. Recommended setup: the desktop app’s Settings > Connections; manual npx setup needs Node and SCREENPIPE_LOCAL_API_KEY (see documentation). Source-available under the Screenpipe Commercial License, not OSI open source. Capture is local by default; configured cloud AI, transcription, sync and integrations can transmit context off-device.
